Ari Larraz

Ari began his career more than twenty years ago, working on historic and nationally registered homes in New England. His passions for architecture and the complexities of good building practices have inspired his work ever since. His strengths range from tackling complex framing projects, trouble shooting tricky remodels, coordinating large new construction projects, to designing and building fine custom cabinetry with meticulous detail. His continued love of woodwork and design has kept him in the business.

Larraz Building Excellence was established in Denver more than a decade ago as a cooperative of craftsmen and artisans who are passionate about their work and demand the highest level of professionalism, expertise, and creative artistry. Ari has spent the last ten years guiding and refining that cooperative, developing and mastering new techniques and systems as the evolving construction market demands.

Ari has been featured on HGTV’s “My Big Amazing Renovation” and appeared as a judge on DIY’s “Dominator.” He is currently working on a film that documents the efforts to renovate and restore the architectural wonders of the island of Cuba. Ari’s work in television and film offer him another forum for creative expression, and his projects invariably focus on his work and his love of beautiful buildings and masterful construction.

From historic, detailed and elaborate homes in Massachusetts, through elegant and simple palapas in Baja, Mexico, Ari has refined his skills and his love of his craft. His fascination with techniques and materials continues today in Colorado, with his diverse and magnificent projects in Denver and the surrounding areas.
